Message Tree - A quick update

The Message Tree was the heart of the art installation at The Farm at South Mountain. It was the first tree dressed at the farm using knitted donations created during Nature's Knit-a-Long.

Visitors were asked to leave messages at this tree - And many did!

Messages have included a wide variety of audiences and subjects. Some have been written to the anonymous reader, some to loved ones or even to the tree itself. Younger authors have created their messages in art form.

These have now been published in 2 limited edition books, including both an economical edition as well as an artistic handcrafted artist book. Contact me for more information or drop by The Cottage at the Farm this fall to see a copy in person.

Here are a few of the messages left at the tree.

Dear Tree, Please take my wish to grow for a thousand years. Stay Strong!

I'm so Happy I get to rember this Day with my loving Family. I will never forget it. I hate to leave.

Wonderfully Whimsy!

I hope my boyfriend comes back so we can get married.

Dear message Tree, Thank you for being such a wonderful tree that brings people together. Thanks for making us live.

I wish for a baby girl.

I hope this tree waring a sweater makes you smile on your wedding day.
